Fox's "Stars In Danger: The High Dive" will make its debut on Jan. 9 in a two-hour featured special. The highly-anticipated program is based on a German series of a similar kind called "TV Total Turmspringen." The program will be hosted and coached by U.S. diver Troy Dumais, who was a competitor in the Olympic Games in 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012.

Jenifer Farley, better known as JWOWW of the "Jersey Shore" will be one of many contestants on the show. Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens, who plays for the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals will also come on board.

"Stars In Danger" will even feature two "Baywatch" standouts in actor/athlete David Chokachi and actress/athlete Alexandra Paul. Kim and Kyle Richards from the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and actor Antonio Sabado Jr. will also appear along with Professional Surfer Bethany Hamilton.

"Stars In Danger" will have each of the celebrities competing against one another on a high board in an Olympic-style diving contest.

The added perk of the program is that the celebrities will be forced to face their fear of heights while also participating in difficult routines.

While the stars clearly won't go into the competition with years of intensive training, they will certainly get a crash course in the water sport. Then they'll be evaluated on their performances with a winner will be named at the end.

Fox has listed the following description regarding the program:

"Based on a long-running German format, STARS IN DANGER: THE HIGH DIVE is the ultimate test for eight celebrities who will step to the edge and take a flying leap or momentous belly flop into diving history. But, first, they must complete a crash-course in diving techniques, overseen by renowned diving coaches. After an intense training period, they will compete in a series of Olympic-style dives, including solo high diving and synchronized diving, from a variety of heights. With the help of Olympic diving medalist and commentator Troy Dumais, viewers will also get a poolside look at the courage and perseverance - as well as the twists, turns and flips - that go into turning a celebrity into an expert - or not so expert - diver."
