Haig speaks about her Frozen character in a new video via SheKnows.com. While Haig only appeared as Elsa in the first half of the fourth season, she believes that her character was a new type of role.
"The main struggle of Elsa's is that she's afraid of who she is and that she can't accept who she is, and she feels like she doesn't fit in and that she's isolated from the world around her. I think that's a feeling a lot of people can identify with," she says.

And ultimately, "the villain isn't a witch, or a wizard or a monster. It's an emotion. It's the emotion of fear that's the villain, and that's a new thing."
This is indeed a unique type of villain in the fantastical world of Once Upon a Time, a series full of over-the-top evil doers.
Jennifer Morrison, who plays Emma, thinks that Haig did "an amazing job" with the character of Elsa, noting that she was "taking an iconic character... and infusing that with life and putting her own personality into it, but really staying true to what the character was in the movie."
And now Emma is the new villain of the series as she was last seen succumbing to darkness. Emma's villainy will certainly be formidable as the once powerful Savior now turns into a powerful villain.
Once Upon a Time season 5 premieres Sunday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
