'Vampire Diaries' RECAP & SPOILERS: Find Out What's In Store For Tyler!
The CW's "Vampire Diaries" debuted an all-new episode on Thursday titled, "We'll Always Have Bourbon Street." The latest installment featured Tyler Lockwood continuing his efforts at breaking the hybrids' sire bonds, which has drastically affected his relationship with Caroline Forbes. In the last few episodes, Tyler (Michael Trevino) and a friend (Phoebe Tonkin) have been aiding the hybrids with their sights set on taking down the Original.
When Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) make the trek to New Orleans, Louisiana, the girls appear to run ramped. Caroline (Candice Accola), Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) make the decision to throw a slumber party, which includes indulging in drinks and "spirit tea" at the Salvatore Mansion.
Caroline ends up being extra critical the entire night, especially after learning that Elena had slept with Damon. While some major conflict amongst them arises, the three close friends end up making up by the end of the episode.
According to Celebuzz, Executive Producer Julie Plec informed reporters that Tyler (Michael Trevino) will be a hero figure this season, as the latest installment of "Vampire Diaries" was said to have began his establishment in that role. Kim, who is the hybrid that debuted the previous week, made the decision to take Tyler on as the leader of their group via the kidnapping of Caroline.
The question most likely on the minds of fans is whether or not Caroline will remain loyal to Tyler even if his plans continue to lead him down a destructive path.
Candace Accola, who plays Caroline, spoke to TV Guide about the respective dynamic.
"She loves him and she understands that's what you do for the people you love, you have their back. But at the same time she'll have her feelings of ... being very worried because she doesn't want anything to happen to him," she said.
The CW's "Vampire Diaries" airs at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday nights.
