'The Blacklist' Season 3: Premiere Delayed, Find Out Why NBC Bumped 'The Troll Farmer' [VIDEO]
The Blacklist will not open season 3 on Sept. 24.
The NBC drama's fall premiere has been pushed back by one week, according to Deadline. Instead of snagging the 9 p.m. ET slot on Sept. 24, The Blacklist will make way for Heroes Reborn's two-hour series premiere.
Red (James Spader) and Liz (Megan Boone) will now return to air on Oct. 1 at 9 p.m. ET.
'The Blacklist' Season 3: Who Will Save Liz Keen? Red & Tom Are Ready For Mayhem
The Blacklist will pick up in the wake of the season 2 finale, but it is unclear how far into the future the series will jump. Liz, however, will still be on the run. A fugitive form the FBI, Liz will need to rely on Red and Tom's combined knowledge of the DC underworld if she is to evade capture and take down the Cabal.
Unfortunately, Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) will not be Liz's only problem. The Cabal will soon introduce the world to the villainous machinations of Mr. Solomon (Edi Gathegi).
"[Solomon] essentially handles the dirty work for the Cabal," Entertainment Weekly teased. "Unassuming and soft-spoken on the surface, [Solomon has] a hidden (and terrifying) capacity for violence."
