Denis O'Hare is playing his most transformative role yet in FX's American Horror Story: Hotel.

O'Hare is set to play Liz Taylor in AHS: Hotel, a character who is obsessed with the famous actress of the same name. O'Hare spoke about the role in a new interview with TVGuide.com, revealing just how taken Liz Taylor is with Elizabeth Taylor.

"I play a movie icon, my name is Liz Taylor," O'Hare said, "But i work in the hotel and I bartend, I change lightbulbs, I do the reception desk, I clean up mess, whatever that means, and I work sort of closely with Kathy Bates' [character, Iris]."

Angela Bassett's New 'American Horror Story' Character Will Be Very Fabulous

By the sound of it, Liz Taylor may actually dress up to look exactly like Elizabeth Taylor.

"Liz Taylor is Liz Taylor. Liz Taylor is," O'Hare insisted, motioning to his face. "She is."

O'Hare shaved his head for the role and admitted at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour last week that he shaved "other body parts" too.

The actor has been a chameleon through three previous seasons of American Horror Story. He played burn victim Larry Harvey in Murder House, mute butler Spalding in Coven and con artist (with a particularly long member) Stanley in Freak Show. He earned Emmy nominations for Murder House and Freak Show, and if his juicy new role as Liz Taylor is any indication, he may be looking at yet another nomination next year.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
