The Blacklist's episode 4 baddie draws his name from the supernatural.

The NBC drama will see Liz (Megan Boone) & Red (James Spader) take on The Troll Farmer, Marvin Gerard, and Eli Machette as season 3 opens, and episode 4 will bring the fugitives face-to-face with a criminal whose nickname comes form Islamic mythology - The Djinn.

Aside from being named after a form of genie, little is known about the next master criminal on Red's hit list. Series creator Jon Bokenkamp, however, was able to shed some light on the beginning of season 3 as a whole.

We kind of blew up the format," Bokenkamp told The Wall Street Journal. "It's not like Red sits down on a park bench with Liz and says 'Here's the Blacklister that I want you to go catch.' That's not what the show is when we come back. They are on the run and they are fugitives."

It is unclear how long Red and Liz will attempt to stay ahead of the FBI, but Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) will be hell bent on putting an end to their freedom.

"Liz will turn to a very unlikely place in her bid to escape, which enrages Ressler, who is very gung-ho about catching his former partner and will go to great lengths to do so, even if it means putting others in danger," Entertainment Weekly reported.
