The Los Angeles Lakers found themselves with yet another tally in the loss column when they came up short Tuesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers by a score of 100-94.

Once again, the Lakers' defense came back to haunt them, which was a testament to their continued problem with turnovers. Los Angeles Lakers, who was expected by most to instantly dominate the NBA upon the star acquisitions of Dwight Howard and Kevin Nash (injured), now currently sports a record that is well below the .500-mark (9-13).

As per their protocol, the media spoke to coach Mike D'Antoni regarding the team's less than ideal outcome in their matchup versus the Cavs. While the coach seemed to answer all of the reporter's questions with a calm demeanor, one that brought into question the Lakers' preparation on defense was the one that ultimately ticked D'Antoni off.

Through his query, the reporter seemed to insinuate that the Lakers weren't putting in enough practice on its defense. At that point, the coach spoke out against the remark.

"We worked for a half-hour on (defense). You're starting to (expletive) me off. You're starting to (expletive) me off because you're saying something that's not factually correct," D'Antoni said.

Both on the fast break and in the half court, Cleveland guard Kyrie Irving put up a prolific performance against the Lakers, who clearly had trouble stopping the rising superstar throughout the entire game. Irving put up 28 points, 11 assists and six rebounds.

"This is one of the most challenging stretches of my 17 years, and the most baffling too. We have the talent and personnel to do it, but we're not, and it's baffling. It's extremely frustrating," Kobe Bryant told Fox Sports.

The Los Angeles Lakers will next go head-to-head with the New York Knicks on Thursday and their defense will have to deal with the likes of another big scorer in Carmelo Anthony.
