Teresa Giudice’s legal trouble doesn’t seem to be enough to save Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey as the seventh season is still hanging in the balance.

Teresa Giudice Reportedly Gains 15 Pounds In Jail While Joe Giudice Indulges In Alcohol?

The buzz surrounding the New Jersey franchise has died down, even with Giudice’s story line surrounding her fraud trial taking center stage last season. She didn’t hold back when showing how her daughters coped with her going to jail (as well as her husband Joe Giudice serving time when her sentence is complete) as well as how her co-stars, including her sister-in-law and on-again-off-again arch nemesis Melissa Gorga.

On top of that, it doesn’t look like the drama her cast mates is enough to carry the show either. It could be with what they actually choose to share on reality television versus what’s going on in the headlines.

For example, NJ.com pointed out earlier this month that Jacqueline Laurita and her husband Chris shared their financial troubles and even the fact that they had to sell their home to cover the expenses of treating their son, Nicholas, who was diagnosed with Autism. What they didn’t portray on the show was that a lawsuit claimed they lived a pretty lavish lifestyle funded by Chris’s bankrupt apparel company.

The network attempted to shake up the cast in season six and bring in twins Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano and their friend Amber Marchese. But even the drama that those ladies had wasn’t enough to take the show from its underwhelming status.
