Everyone's favorite criminal amnesiacs have officially received a second season order from Syfy. The series aired its freshman finale on Friday, and the jaw-dropping cliffhanger left fans begging for more.

"With its mysterious premise and fascinating characters, Dark Matter has built an incredibly loyal, passionate and engaged fan base," said Chris Regina, Senior Vice President of Program Strategy at Syfy. "We look forward to another out-of-the-world season from this talented creative team."

One (Marc Bendavid), Two (Melissa O'Neil), Three (Anthony Lemke), Four (Alex Mallari Jr.), Five (Jodelle Ferland), and the Android (Zoie Palmer) are in a sticky situation now that Six (Roger Cross) has revealed himself to be the snake in the grass, but executive producer Joseph Mallozzi promises the sophomore run will be chock full of answers and action alike.

"In much of the first season the characters were reactive, on their heels, whereas in season two they become proactive," Mallozzi teased ahead of the renewal announcement, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Like I said in the backstory, these are very bad people who are capable of very bad things and I think if we do a second season, it'll blow you away."
