In a matchup that will surely affect the positioning of the playoff picture, the Denver Broncos (10-3) will face the Baltimore Ravens (9-4) on Sunday. While the Broncos didn't fare very well in its last five matchups against the Ravens, they also didn't have Peyton Manning at that time. The future hall of fame QB will look to take Denver to their ninth consecutive win.

Manning has been phenomenal in his first season with the Broncos, having thrown for an AFC-best 30 touchdowns with a 104.0 passer rating that ranks him fourth in the NFL.

On Dec. 6, the signal caller went 26 of 36 for 310 yards and a touchdown versus the Oakland Raiders to give the team its longest winning streak since the 1998 Broncos won its first 13 games en route to their second consecutive Super Bowl.

Denver has lost all of its five trips to Baltimore, which includes two by a combined 37 points. However, Manning has defeated the Ravens in all of his last eight starts against them, which also includes two playoff wins. He led the Indianapolis Colts to a divisional playoff win when he last faced Baltimore on Jan. 16, 2010.

"I can't speak to the past. All I know is, we're going on the road, playing an excellent team," Manning told ESPN.

Despite the Broncos' already clinching a playoff berth, coach John Fox still considers the team's game against Baltimore as a significant one.

"This will be a playoff-type game. You're talking about a team that's been in the playoffs four straight years, I think coach (John) Harbaugh's done a tremendous job," Fox said.

"They've got excellent staff, excellent football team, they know how to win and part of that is being tough at home. They've only lost one game there this year (out of six)," he added.
