The Ops meerkats' little flirtatious back and forth has been going on for quite some time now, and the Neric 'ship may finally see some real movement as season 7 progresses.
"We certainly see more of that relationship," showrunner Shane Brennan teased, according to TV Line. "It's obviously not as developed as Kensi and Deeks' relationship, but there's definitely more fun to be had there."
Unfortunately, Nell (Renee Felice Smith) and Eric's (Barrett Foa) potential romance will continue to play second fiddle to the OSP's premiere office romance - that of Kensi and Deeks.
"With Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), it's kind of tough to have two couples that are actually together at the same time and to show all of that," Smith explained, according to Connected Digital World. "We've kind of taken a break from the Eric and Nell story while Kensi and Deeks are kind of in the heat of their relationship."
Considering how long Kensi and Deeks played at the will-they-won't-they game, Neric fans should despair just yet. As Brennan said, there is "fun" to be had with Nell and Eric, particularly when it comes to their awkward attempts to dance around their feelings for each other.
