The Austwins will officially be split up this week on Big Brother 17, so who is the next target going to be?

Liz Melts Down After 'Big Brother' Nomination Ceremony

Head of Household: Steve Moses

Nominees: Julia Nolan and Liz Nolan

Other houseguests: Austin Matelson, John McGuire and Vanessa Rousso

The Tide May Be Turning In The 'Big Brother 17' House

Steve followed through on his plan Monday to nominate Julia after Austin won the Power of Veto. This means that the twins are finally on the Nomination block together, with a guarantee that one of them will go home.

Things were quiet overall after the Veto ceremony. Liz and Julia had a few discussions throughout the day that were pretty emotional, with Liz telling Julia that she wants her to be the one to stay. Essentially, Liz wants to fall on her sword for Julia, who has a better shot of making it to the Final 2.

Vanessa and John have agreed that Liz is the stronger competitor of the two and they plan on evicting her.

So with that pretty much out of the way, talk has turned to what to do next week. Austin, Liz and Julia had a discussion late at night and came to the conclusion that Vanessa has a Final 3 deal with Steve and John. Talking in private, Julia and Liz talked about Vanessa thinking she is the mastermind of the season in that she is playing both sides. They admitted that they could not fully trust her.

Then, Steve talked to himself even later in the night and realized that he needs to start creating a target on Vanessa. He wants to split up Vanessa and Austin, who he sees as a pair similar to him (Steve) and John.

Going into Monday, it seemed like Vanessa would be safe next week, with Steve/John wanting to target Austin and Austin/Julia wanting to target Steve, but if they all start comparing notes, Vanessa may be in deep trouble. But she could always weasel her way out of it.

Big Brother 17 returns for another new episode Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The episode will feature footage from the Power of Veto competition up to the Veto ceremony.
