'Dancing With the Stars' Introduced Bindi Irwin To High Heels & It Did Not Go Well
Ballas, who is returning for his 17th consecutive season of Dancing With the Stars this fall, recently spoke with Parade on how the show will get even bigger in season 21.
When asked what fans should expect from the new season, Ballas said, "Definitely creativity and pushing the envelope. It feels like you're watching a new show because every season gets bigger and better and feels grander and more sophisticated. The production value will go up again because we keep pushing the boundaries creatively. Our producers and the dancers care about our fans and want to keep them entertained. It's a different challenge every season and while the competition stays the same, the entertainment and production value keep evolving and keep the show going strong."
Why Is Artem Chigvintsev Missing From 'Dancing With the Stars' Pro Lineup?
Ballas is paired with actress Alexa PenaVega (Spy Kids) for the fall season. PenaVega's husband Carlos PenaVega is also competing this season, making them the first married couple to compete on the same season. Carlos' partner is Witney Carson. Should we expect a healthy rivalry between the couple and between Ballas and Carson? only time will tell.
As for who will win the upcoming season, Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough are the odds-on favorite according to our poll, which went live on Saturday. Alexa and Ballas are the fourth most likely, while Carlos and Carson are seventh most likely.
Dancing With the Stars season 21 premieres Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
