Kim Kardashian New Haircut 2012, Debuts Bangs On Twitter
Kim Kardashian sported a new haircut on Dec. 18 thanks to celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan.
The reality star and the famed hairstylist both featured her new look, layered ends with fringed bangs, on Instagram while she was in New York City for a secret photo shoot.
The 32-year-old unveiled a collage of several images mixed together on the social media site. The pictures were of various stages of Kardashian getting her hair done by the Hollywood stylist-to-the-stars.
"Fun shoot today @chrismcmillan He just can't control his scissor hands! #bangs," captioned the photo collage she posted on Instagram.
McMillan must have been really impressed with the sleek new hairdo he created- he posted a single shot of the curvy, petite star with minimal makeup on his Instagram account with the caption" "BANGS!!! @kimkardashian #love #fringe #photoshoot #sexy."
After the photos of Kardashian's new hairstyle went viral on Twitter, she wrote a statement on her blog post on Dec. 19 to clarify that she did not actually get a new haircut.
In her blog titled, "The Truth about My Bangs" the reality star wrote: "I saw a few of you tweeting me about my bangs!! The bangs are fake! Just clip ons! I had a fun Cosmo cover shoot yesterday and chris mcmillan clipped those on!"
McMillan is a world-renowned fashion and celebrity hairstylist. He is best known for giving actress Jennifer Aniston the famed "Rachel" hairstyle when she appeared on the hit 90's show "Friends" and for chopping Miley Cyrus' long blonde locks in August.
19-year-old Cyrus and McMillan had both tweeted a series of photos to show the transformation of how she went from sporting long locks to the big reveal of a new bob haircut.
McMillan first tweeted a picture of his scissors getting ready to cut off Cyrus' hair bun. "Bye bun! Stay tuned!," he wrote.
Several hours later the "Hannah Montana" star tweeted the new haircut. "I think the most important thing a woman can have - next to talent, of course is her hairdresser." @ChrisMcMillan thanks duuuuude"
