The Tide May Be Turning In The 'Big Brother 17' House
Austin, Liz and Julia have decided to flip the script this week and agreed that Julia should be evicted instead of Liz. This is due to many factors, including Liz being a stronger competitor, but also because they want to make things more difficult for Vanessa. The Austwins had several discussions on Tuesday about Vanessa's shadiness.
They came to her later in the day and told her that they want Julia to be evicted. Vanessa showed some slight hesitance but ultimately agreed. She said that as long as Steve is okay with her evicting Julia, then she's down for the plan.
Then, Vanessa presented a deal that had three conditions:
- If Liz or Austin win HOH, she cannot be initially nominated, but a re-nomination after the Veto is okay.
- Vanessa can pick between Steve or John for who should be evicted next
- If Liz and Austin don't make the Final 3 together with her, the surviving member will take her to the Final 2.
Liz and Austin agreed to these conditions and they all went their separate ways.
It is currently unknown if this whole deal is a part of another big Vanessa scheme or if she is sincere about this deal. Liz seems to be the better option for eviction since it severs the tie between Austin and Julia, but Vanessa is willing to take a risk.
Later, Liz admitted to Julia that she didn't plan on keeping up her end of the bargain and that Steve should be the next target, then Vanessa.
Meanwhile, Steve became worried that he was being set up as the target next week. He expressed skepticism about Vanessa and told himself that she will be safe no matter what next week.
It remains to be seen if Vanessa will flip things again by Thursday or if this is her new Plan A. It will be interesting to see if the risky plan works out in the end or if it ends up costing her game.
Big Brother 17 airs another new episode Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The episode features highlights from the Power of Veto competition and the Veto ceremony.
