FBI Agent Grace Miller (Kim Raver) will have some impact on season 11 of Fox's Bones.

Booth Goes Missing In 'Bones' Season Premiere As Arastoo Rises In The Ranks

Raver is joining the cast of Bones for season 11's first two episodes. Her character, Agent Miller, is brought in when Booth (David Boreanaz) suddenly goes missing. While Agent Miller is on a mission to find Booth, she does not bring much emotion to the proceedings.

"She is sort of the impartial view," Bones executive producer Michael Peterson told TVGuide.com recently. "She doesn't know what Booth has gotten himself into. Has he done something unlawful, or is he the victim? She doesn't know and she doesn't care."

Is Betty White Joining 'Bones' Next Season?

Agent Miller will have some conflict with Brennan (Emily Deschanel), a fellow strong woman.

"They absolutely clash," Peterson said. "We have two strong, intelligent women and we let them go head-to-head. Our people are strictly loyal to Booth, so that puts [Miller] in opposition. But she's strong enough to take on multiple people."

Meanwhile, Aubrey (John Boyd) is rising up in the ranks with Booth having left the FBI six months ago. But what will happen with Booth inevitably returns?

"Aubrey is in a place of new power," Peterson explained. "With Booth gone for six months, he's really shown off what an incredible agent he is on his own. He's taken over Booth's office. He's going to have a great little arc with Miller. One of the things she's going to help us understand is that with all the work that Aubrey has done in the past six months...he's ambitious. If Booth is the great soldier you want to have on your team, Aubrey is the aspiring general."

Bones season 11 premieres Thursday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
