'American Horror Story' Season 5 News: 'Hotel' Has Connection To 1920s Murderer Gordon Northcott
The new season of FX's American Horror Story will have a connection to infamous murderer Gordon Northcott.
The hotel laundress (Mare Winningham) in American Horror Story: Hotel has a child who is kidnapped by Northcott, according to a new Entertainment Weekly report. Northcott was involved in the Wineville Chicken Coop Murders in the 1920s, kidnapping, molesting and murdering multiple young boys.
It is unknown if this will be an ongoing storyline or something from the laundress' past.

Either way, this is an interesting parallel to Lady Gaga's character, The Countess. She kidnaps and adopts several children, who just so happen to be bloodsuckers like their adoptive mother.
Gaga spoke about her character in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly.
"The Countess is a very old soul," Gaga explained. "She's extremely strong. She's been through so much. It's kind of impossible for anything to penetrate her. This show in many ways is about her survival and there is an amazing journey that touches on the mythology of viruses and in what way these afflictions change our lives and bring us together and tear us apart."
American Horror Story: Hotel will feature a wide variety of characters in the new season, including hotel manager Iris (Kathy Bates), drug addict Hypodermic Sally (Sarah Paulson), hotel founder Mr. March (Evan Peters), fashion icon Will Drake (Cheyenne Jackson), hotel tenant Donovan (Matt Bomer), model Tristan (Finn Wittrock), actress Ramona Royale (Angela Bassett) and a crossdresser who goes by Liz Taylor (Denis O'Hare).
American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
