Steve Proposes New Deal To Liz on 'Big Brother 17'

John won the Power of Veto on Saturday, allowing him to remove himself from the block. Vanessa was in visible panic after the competition, but ultimately determined that she needed to nominate Austin for eviction in John's place. With this in mind, Vanessa and John spent much of the weekend trying to decide who should be evicted between Austin and Steve.

But it seems that John now knows how to play Vanessa, as he wouldn't give her a concrete answer. While Vanessa argued that they should blindside Austin, John agreed with her points but also countered, saying he wanted to vote out Steve. John said they would have a better shot with later competitions if Steve was out.

The Veto meeting was held on Sunday, and John saved himself. Vanessa nominated Austin in his place, basically saying that Austin has never been on the block heading into an eviction. Austin was reassured several times that he wasn't going home and has mostly been feeling safe over the past few days.

Steve finally realized that his supposed best ally, John, has a strong possibility of voting to evict him. But Steve has done very little in the way of campaigning to save himself. He even suggested that he wanted to give up.

Vanessa spoke with Liz and Austin and said he felt good about their chances of winning HOH next over John. She continued to butter them up only to later hatch a sinister plan with John.

Vanessa told John that she's ready to make a big move. She wants to blindside Austin, saying it would look impressive to the jury. John would vote to evict Austin while Liz would vote to evict Steve, leaving Vanessa as the tiebreaker. Vanessa would then evict Austin, and explain to Liz later that she is here to win the game. Vanessa and John shook on the deal.

It is currently unknown what John will do in the next eviction, as he has promised everyone different things. John could very well just do the opposite of what Vanessa wants, and decide to vote out Steve. John could also go through with the tiebreaker scenario at which point Vanessa goes back on her deal and evicts Steve instead. This is the first eviction in a very long time that feels completely up in the air heading into the next episode.

The live feeds will be down all day Monday, which is when the eviction will be taped. Tuesday will have no live feeds either, until 9 p.m. ET.

Big Brother 17 airs another new episode Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The episode will feature the Power of Veto competition, the Veto meeting and the next eviction. Then, the next HOH competition will be played.
