He's been top dog at Palos Hills for a long time, but Matty McKibben (Beau Mirschoff) is about to get a taste of what life is like on the other side of the high school popularity food chain on Awkward.

Jenna Experiences A Surge In Popularity

After a series of setbacks-including being dumped by Gabby (Erin Westbrook) during the senior prank and learning that she had slept with his best friend, Jake (Brett Davern) over Spring Break-Matty is officially losing his status at the school-something he will begin to notice when the strangest things start happening to him-including being ignored in the halls, getting picked last in gym class, and being given the worst slice of pizza by the cafeteria lady at lunch.

Finally, someone actually notices him-Jenna (Ashley Rickards)--and she will be the one who unfortunately has to the bearer of bad news when she realizes why Matty has been getting treated so strangely all day long.

Will 'Awkward' Continue After Series Finale?

"Hey, are you okay? You look a little lost," she says in a preview clip for the Monday, September 14 episode.

"Yeah, well I feel like that because the weirdest s**t has been happening to me all morning," Matty says before recounting his weird day. "I mean this is messed up, right?"

To make matters worse, things get even more complicated for Matty when another student crashes right into him without even saying a word.

"Did you just see that? It's like I'm not even here. Am I invisible?" he asks.

"Matty, you're not invisible. You're unpopular," Jenna replies.

Awkward airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on MTV.
