They've been at odds ever since Chad (Billy Flynn) betrayed his father by telling Abigail (Kate Mansi) the real reason Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) was trying to push them together, but now the father's relationship with his only remaining son could be changed after his own fate rests in the disowned one's hands on Days of Our Lives.

The situation has not improved between the two following Chad being suspected of not one, but now two, murders. After his return to the DiMera mansion wasn't well-received, Chad and Stefano began to argue-and Chad even accused his father of setting him up with the murders as revenge for his exposing the truth to Abigail, which Stefano denied. However, after Chad reminded him he would have allowed Sami to suffer for a crime she didn't commit, the situation changed-and Stefano admitted to loving his son before suddenly slumping over his chess board.

Now, Chad will realize his father's health could be in trouble-and will swiftly take action to save him by getting him rushed to the hospital.

The action could potentially help Chad's current predicament about being the prime suspect in both Serena and Paige's murders-if another murder happens while he is at the hospital with his father, it would finally give him an alibi-something he doesn't have for the previous two murders. In addition, being at the hospital could get him to start questioning his blackouts and why they're happening-and start him on a path that could potentially clear him as a suspect in the other two murders as well.
