Lady Gaga is the star of the show in the new trailer for FX's American Horror Story: Hotel.

'Glee' Star Lea Michele Says She's Down To Make An 'American Horror Story' Appearance

The new trailer for American Horror Story: Hotel is essentially a Gaga music video, in the best way. The pop superstar turned actress is shown in an ornate, futuristic room as she holds leashes attached to children, makes violent swiping motions and all sorts of other twisted things. She even dances in a humorous fashion.

The editing is very frenetic as scenes cut at a rapid pace, creating an uneasy feeling. The trailer is set to the song "Du hast" by German metal band Rammstein.

Lady Gaga Delves Into The Psychology Of Her 'American Horror Story' Character

There is no doubt that FX is heavily relying on Gaga's popularity to sell the upcoming season of American Horror Story. After all, this will be the first season without marquee star Jessica Lange, who has carried the horror anthology series for four seasons. Luckily, most of the show's regular stars will be back in new characters, including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Denis O'Hare and Finn Wittrock. Other stars include Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Wes Bentley, Chloë Sevigny, Max Greenfield, Naomi Campbell and Mare Winningham.

American Horror Story: Hotel centers on the Hotel Cortez, a property full of dark secrets and owned by Gaga's character, The Countess. Her character makes a decision in the first episode of the season that will have ramifications moving forward.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
