Three days removed from its 8-0 blowout over Aston Villa, the Chelsea football club is set to take the field against Norwich City on Wednesday. Although they still find themselves 11 points shy of Premier League standings leader Manchester United, Chelsea still continues to plow forward. Newcastle sits in tenth place in the standings.

Since coming up short in their pursuit of the FIFA World Cup, Chelsea has continued to dominate its opposition.

Victory over Aston Villa aside, the team recently took out the Leeds squad by a score of 5-1 in the Capital One Cup quarterfinals.

Chelsea is currently running on all cylinders as both its offense and defense are performing extremely well.

"We showed that we are capable of and it is just a matter of consistency now. We have a lot of young players but on a day like Sunday you can really see the quality in the squad," defender Gary Cahill told International Business Times.

"If we play like that we won't go far wrong. Norwich away is always a tough game and we found that when we went there last year. No doubt it will be similar but we go into the match with great confidence," he added.

Before coming up short on Sunday to West Brom, the last team to gain a victory over the Canaries was actually Chelsea, when the two teams faced off in October.
