The OSP's lead agent will go off the rails in the season premiere, and the events of "Active Measures" will test Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Sam's (LL Cool J) partnership like never before. Callen will be tasered by Hetty (Linda Hunt), but according to promos, it will be Sam who (allegedly) pulls a gun on the wayward agent.
Speaking at PaleyFest, LL Cool J dished out an ominous teaser for the upcoming confrontation.
"What we do find out is what [Sam's] made of because his partner puts him in a crazy position where he has to choose between his loyalty to his partner and his loyalty to the agency, and that becomes really strange," the actor explained, according to TV Fanatic. "It strains their relationship in a huge way."
O'Donnell, however, emphasized how lucky Callen is to have Sam at his back, even when he is running around Los Angeles on dangerous, unsanctioned missions.
"Thank goodness he has a partner because he gets in a little over his head," O'Donnell told TV Fanatic.
