'Jessica Jones' PHOTOS: Get Your First Look At David Tennant's Kilgrave! [VIDEO]
It's time to feast your eyes on the first official images from Marvel & Netflix's Jessica Jones.
The second addition to Marvel's streaming family will hit the Internet later this year, and now fans can see Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor), and the villainous Kilgrave (David Tennant) in stills from the series' premiere.
Jessica Jones will follow the adventures of its titular character after she trades her superhero career for the life of a private eye. With a Hell's Kitchen detective agency specializing in helping other powered people, Jones will have her work cut out for her.
Unlike Matt Murdock, Jessica isn't trying to save the world, or even her neck of Manhattan. Instead, executive producer Melissa Rosenberg says the character is just "out to make rent."
"Our show has plenty of action, but it's not about the action. It's about the character, it's about her emotional arc," Rosenberg told Entertainment Weekly. "And she's not a ninja. She never studies martial arts. She's a brawler. You piss her off and boom! You're down! We're not seeing a whole lot of 'Hiyah!'"
