Now that we've gotten down to the Final 3 on Big Brother 17, we can begin speculating on Final 2 configurations and who might win the $500,000 prize.

The Winner Of Part 1 Of The Final 'Big Brother' HOH Competition Has Been Revealed

Final 3 houseguests: Liz Nolan, Steve Moses and Vanessa Rousso

Vanessa has won Part 1 of the final HOH competition and will now proceed to Part 3. Liz and Steve will compete in Part 2, with the winner facing Vanessa in Part 3 on finale night.

Steve Breaks Down In The 'Big Brother' House Over Veto Competition Decision

So with Vanessa confirmed to be competing for HOH on finale night, let's try to figure out who she would take to the end and whether or not she would win.

Over the past few days, it seems as though Vanessa has been leaning towards taking Liz to the end. She has encouraged Liz to study for Part 2 of the competition, which usually involves putting nominees, Veto winners and/or HOH winners in order. Vanessa and Liz have been discussing how no women have ever won Big Brother when sitting next to a man.

So if Vanessa wins HOH and takes Liz would she have the votes to win? It sure seems like it. While Austin and Julia would obviously vote for Liz to win, Vanessa has a good chance of receiving every other jury member's vote, barring any bitterness from people like Meg, who never liked her to begin with.

Considering how long Liz has worked with Vanessa, it seems pretty likely that Liz would take her to the end if she were to win HOH. Vanessa will surely be manipulating Liz all week long if Liz wins Part 2.

Steve is a different story. If Steve wins Part 2 of the competition and then happens to beat Vanessa in Part 3, we could be looking at a totally different dynamic. Steve has said on multiple occasions to himself that he is taking Liz to the end. He thinks evicting Vanessa would be enough to clinch him a victory in the end, and he might just be right. Despite Steve's social anxieties, he made more of an effort to be friendly to a majority of the jury than Liz did, and evicting Vanessa would be enough to justify his victory for several jurors.

If Steve takes Vanessa to the end, it might be seen as similar to when Cody Califiore took Derrick Levasseur to the end of Big Brother 16. Vanessa has been a strategic powerhouse like Derrick was, and Steve just wouldn't be seen as deserving in comparison, unless the jury is very bitter. If Vanessa takes Steve to the end, she would at least have the benefit of Austin and Julia not being able to vote for Liz, but she could also lose all three of their votes if they're bitter enough.

The most unlikely scenario is Liz taking Steve to the end. Ironically, this may be the only scenario where Liz wins the game. Again, Liz taking out Vanessa would be seen as the biggest move of the game and earn her plenty of respect from the jury. But people seem to like Steve more regardless, so it may be close.

Right now, we guess that Vanessa wins the game in any scenario while Liz and Steve's chances are dependent on whether they evict her. But a bitter jury is always possible.

Part 2 of the competition will likely be held today, after which point Vanessa will very likely be manipulating that person like nobody's business until finale night.

Big Brother 17 returns for another new episode Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The episode will feature footage from the first part of the HOH competition and a recap of the entire season.
