The Los Angeles Lakers (14-14) would like to continue its current surge when they visit the Pepsi Center on Wednesday night to take on the Denver Nuggets (15-14). For the first time in two seasons, the Lakers will look to build on a five-game winning streak. However, the task will certainly not be an easy one, as the Nuggets have been nearly flawless on their own court.

Nonetheless, Los Angeles seems to have found its groove after starting their 2012-13 campaign extremely rocky. The Lakers have put up an average of 106.4 points during their torrid roll and find themselves at the .500-mark for the first time since Nov. 30. The team is coming off an impressive 100-94 win over the New York Knicks on Christmas Day.

"Sometimes when you start winning you expect to win. You do the right thing. ... I just think we're getting a good shot every time we're down. You do that and good things are going to happen," Mike D' Antoni told ESPN.

In twelve December games, Kobe Bryant is averaging a whopping 33.8 points. The superstar racked up 34 while Dwight Howard had 14 along with 12 boards for the Lakers, who outperformed the Knicks by a 46-26 margin in the paint.

"The last five games we have done a good job of moving the ball and playing together. We continued to compete. We continue to play hard and read the defense and try to make the right plays," Bryant said.

A good portion of Los Angeles' turnaround is a testament to the return of Steve Nash, who had 16 points and 11 assists against the Knicks on Tuesday, which was his second game back since going down with a left leg fracture.
