'Teen Mom 2's' Leah Messer Pregnant With A Girl, Third Child Details
"Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer Calvert announced via Twitter on Dec. 25 that she is expected a baby girl with her husband Jeremy.
The 20-year-old MTV reality star, who goes by Leah Calvert now, is already a mother of two twin girls. She wrote, "Soo everyone, Ali and Aleeah is going to have a little sister. That is our Christmas present. Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas!"
In the show's current season, Leah is seen dating Jeremy, however the two wed off camera earlier in 2012. Lea gave birth to her twin daughters while she was in high school, MSN reported. After a cheating scandal was documented on the show, she divorced the children's father, Corey Simms.
She announced her pregnancy in late October on her Facebook page with the following message: "Just wanted to let everyone know that Leah IS pregnant & that she and Jeremy & the rest of their families including Ali & Aleeah are very excited :) Thanks in advance for all your words of encouragement!"
Also in October, she told Us Weekly, "I'm not going to say it wasn't planned, because we intended to try -- eventually. It just happened a little sooner than we expected."
Leah posted a collage of photos in which she shares her baby bump in photos with Jeremy. In the images, Leah straddles her husband while he kisses her belly. Leah also posted a message about the gifts Jeremy bought her for Christmas.
"My amazing husband bought me the iPad 2, pandora bracelet, gift certificates, etc" she wrote.
The announcement of her pregnancy followed a miscarriage Leah had back in January in her hometown of Elkview, Va. An insider said Leah had bad cramps for two weeks before she miscarried, and Jeremy, who was her fiance at the time, said it made for a "devastating experience" for the mom.
