Harrison Wells is gone, but Barry Allen will get a new mentor in season 2 of The Flash.

'The Flash' Season 2 Premiere Round Up: Get The Scoop On Episode 1

Earth 2 and Barry's reality will collide thanks to Central City's singularity, and that merging of worlds will allow Jay Garrick to enter into the story line. A new sneak peek from iTunes gives viewers the entire scoop on the other Flash, plus two new scenes with the Crimson Comet.

"At the very beginning of season 2 we are going to learn that, indeed, that helmet that came through the singularity in the season finale belongs to Jay Garrick, who is another Flash and he will have been the Flash on Earth 2," executive producer Gabrielle Stanton revealed. "He's going to come over and he's going to help us. He has a little more experience than Barry; he's been doing this a little longer. He's basically going to become Barry's mentor, kind of take the role that Wells had."

As an added bonus, Barry's new pal won't be an evil, conniving time traveler that killed his mother. It's always nice when your friends are not secretly super villains wearing the face of your idol.
