They know that most of the other teams are gonna look at them and think they aren't competition, and that's exactly how former NFL Cheerleaders Krista and Tiffany want it on season 27 of The Amazing Race.

Kelsey & Joey Say The $1 Million Is Top Priority

The friends, who were both former cheerleaders for the New York Jets, admitted in a pre-race interview with CBS that they want the other teams to underestimate them, because none of them understand the things they went through during their seasons as cheerleaders-which will allow them to surprise the others when they do well.

"Even in the NFL, we would have to rehearsal in full hair and makeup just to practice having all that stuff on for a game. If it's raining or if it's snowing, if it's hot, cold...you have to be prepared for anything," Tiffany says.

Alex & Adam A Perfect Mix Of Brains and Brawn?

"And just because you look for a certain way doesn't mean anything. And that's why I'd rather a team think that, like, 'Well look at them, they're too busy doing their lipstick,' or whatever," Krista adds. "But when it comes down to it, we're gonna be just like everyone else, and get down and dirty, more down and dirty than anybody here."

The two also say that their careers-which required them going through training camp, have helped prepare them for what's ahead.

"A lot of people don't know that to be an NFL cheerleader we have to go through training camp which prepares us for the season," Tiffany says. "So we work from spring, summer, and by the fall, we're ready to start the season so we are physically and mentally prepared for this."

"A lot of people just think when you're an NFL cheerleader, you just stand there and look pretty and hold a pom-pom because that's kind of the image that they see," Krista adds. "They don't see the behind-the-scenes, and going through the training camp for the NFL was one of the hardest experiences of my life."

The Amazing Race season 27 premieres Friday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
