'Survivor: Second Chance' News: Jeff Probst Talks How 'Cambodia' Is Different From Any Other Season
Survivor host Jeff Probst reveals what makes season 31 so special.
The premiere of Survivor: Cambodia - Second Chance aired last night, and the game really started off with a bang.
The 20 returning players were split into two tribes and raced to attain a big bag of rice. At Ta Keo, two factions formed, with "shelter people" and "beach people" at odds with each other. At Bayon, most of the guys broed down, with Stephen Fishbach as the one exception.
In the end, Ta Keo went to Tribal Council and Vytas Baskauskas' scheming ways led to him becoming the first person voted out of season 31.
Probst spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the gameplay this season and how it differs from seasons' past.
"In our 31 seasons, we've never had a group that came into the game with such devotion to the game," he revealed. "They were in it from the moment their journey through Angkor Wat started. They were playing hard the minute they dove off the boat. They pulled off massive blindsides and shifted the strategy of the game. If you told me I could bring all 20 back again and do it again I would say yes. I absolutely enjoyed every single person and I thank them for what they gave. Survivor is an a**-kicking adventure and it is not for the faint of heart or those who are more comfortable on the couch. This group has waited a long time for this opportunity and I think you'll agree that they deliver."
As for next week, Probst teased that love is in the air. He also said there will be some "tears at the thought of Tribal Council." Will Ta Keo lose another challenge?
Survivor: Cambodia - Second Chance airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
