The Denver Broncos (12-3) will look to assure themselves a first-round bye in the playoffs when they face off against the Kansas City Chiefs (2-13) on Sunday afternoon.

Although most of the other AFC's top teams have faltered as of late, the Broncos have continued full steam ahead and are currently in the midst of a ten-game winning streak.

Interestingly enough, if Kansas City were to lose, it would ensure them of receiving the No.1 overall pick in the 2013 NFL draft.

After surpassing the New England Patriots for the No. 2 seed on Dec. 16, Denver defeated Cleveland by a score of 34-12 last week to put itself in a spot to bypass the wild-card round of the playoffs.

Although a win over the Chiefs would be enough to secure the bye, a Houston Texans loss at Indianapolis would hand the Broncos home-field advantage throughout the AFC postseason.

"I think it's real important that we win this week against Kansas City - all our focus will be on that. Whatever that brings, we'll react to," coach John Fox said.

While Denver is clearly the heavy favorite in the Week 16 matchup, Fox is not about to take Kansas City lightly.

"Some teams you match up against better than others. We had a tough game with these guys last time we played at their place," he continued.

Veteran superstar Peyton Manning has fared extremely well against Kansas City throughout his career. When the two teams squared off earlier in the season, he was 22 of 37 for 285 yards along with two touchdowns and one pick.
