The case against Chad (Billy Flynn) continues to build because of the perfectly placed amounts of evidence that are making him look guilty of two murders and an attempted third, but he may finally begin to clear the fog in his head that has kept him from being able to properly defend himself on Days of Our Lives.

Chad was already the main suspect in Serena and Paige's murders because he was the last person who saw both women alive, and he had altercations with both before their deaths., In addition, a napkin with his blood on it was found near the scene of Serena's death, while a petal from a rare flower grown only in the DiMera gardens was found hear Paige's body.

However, after the killer attempted to end Marlena's (Deirdre Evans) life, Chad was the one who happened upon the scene and was able to temporarily revive her. When that happened, Marlena panicked and mistakenly believed he had been the one to try and kill her-and since she pointed a finger of blame at him an APB has been out for his arrest.

Chad has been slowly recollecting pieces of his memory from Serena's murder, and now that he is in hiding, he may truly sit down and commit to remembering what happened-and he could potentially stumble across a breakthrough which will turn the harsh glare of the investigation away from him.

However, what no one has been able to realize yet is that Chad's theory he is being set up is correct-and that the real killer, who is trying to get him put away so he can't be a part of Abigail's (Kate Mansi) life anymore is her fiance, Ben (Robert Scott Wilson).

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
