"Big Bang Theory" physicist Sheldon Cooper has indeed found fame on a nerdy scale of biological proportions. Sheldon has actually had a species of bee named after his favorite phrase, "Bazinga!"

Andre Nemesio, a real-life Brazilian biologist, states that he named the slew of Brazilian orchid bee Euglosa bazinga in lieu of "the clever, funny, 'nerd' character Sheldon Cooper," since the bee had fooled scientists into thinking it was just like other species, according to MSNBC.

"Sheldon would be honored to know that Euglosa bazinga was inspired by him. In fact, after 'Mothra' and griffins, bees are his third-favorite flying creatures," said Steven Molaro, who's one of the show's executive producers.

In terms of the "Big Bang Theory" scripted programming, Thursday night will bring viewers a brand new episode of Season 6 titled, "The Egg Salad Equivalency."

In the latest installment, Sheldon's assistant Alex (Margo Harshman) and "Southland's" Regina King, will both be on board in what should be a highly comical episode. The guest role will have King reuniting with fellow USO tour members Johnny Galecki (Leonard) along with Molaro.

KIng will play the role of Mrs. Davis, the head of human resources at the university. She will have the unique honor of questioning Sheldon over "an uncomfortable situation" that has been voiced by his assistant.

Harshman's role is seemingly the character that's being spoken about in the episode's original synopsis, which reads:

"Sheldon gets accused of sexual harassment at the University and winds up getting Leonard, Raj and Wolowitz in trouble."

Carter is speculating that the respective description may insinuate the end of the Alex character, as it would be very hard to fathom her sticking around amid the described scenario with her boss.

"The Big Bang Theory" will air on Thursday, Jan. 3 at 8 p.m. on the CBS network.
