New American Horror Story star Lady Gaga recently admitted that she's not shy about watching her own love scenes.

While most actresses would admit to being uncomfortable watching themselves perform a sex scene on screen, Gaga is not one of them. The pop superstar turned actress is starring in FX's highly anticipated American Horror Story: Hotel, the fifth installment in the popular horror anthology series.

Gaga will perform more than a few love scenes in Hotel, and she is not concerned at all about them.

"In a strange way, I think I almost prefer to watch myself in a love scene, because I know that I have to be completely honest in order to achieve something that looks authentic and feels real," Gaga told Access Hollywood over the weekend. "I'm trying to see that authenticity in myself all the time on film."

Some of her character's sexual partners include hotel tenant Donovan (Matt Bomer) and actress Ramona Royale (Angela Bassett).

This is her first major television role, but she's doing her best to not let nerves take over.

"Sometimes, when you're thinking too much about things you plan them out and you're more robotic in your performance," she said.

Gaga is playing hotel owner Elizabeth in the new season, who also goes by The Countess. She also just so happens to drink blood and kidnap children in her spare time.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
