'The Blacklist' Season 3: Who Knows The Truth Behind Red & Liz's Relationship? Actor Explains [VIDEO]
There is someone on The Blacklist who may know the truth behind Red and Liz's relationship, and he's closer than you think.
Red's (James Spader) bodyguard, confidant, and overall right-hand man could be sitting on the answer fans have been waiting for. According to Hisham Tawfiq, there is a good chance Dembe is the ultimate secret keeper.
"Me personally, I don't know who Liz is. But I think Dembe knows exactly who Liz is and her relationship to Red," Tawfiq told Seat 42F. "She is a very important part of Red's life and she plays an important role in Red's life. So he looks at her almost the same way and second to the way he looks at Red, as far as his obligation to protecting her."
It's thanks to Liz (Megan Boone) and Red, however, that Dembe has a whole new set of personal problems. The Cabal wants to find the fugitives just as much as the FBI, but if they do, Red and Liz will face a fate far worse than prison. Now that Dembe's infant granddaughter is in mortal danger, the truth behind Red's interest in the former profiler seems small potatoes.
