'Bones' Season 11 Spoilers: 'Sleepy Hollow' Crossover Leads To A Death In The FBI?
We now know the official plot of Fox's Bones-Sleepy Hollow crossover event.
Will Booth Work Under Aubrey When He Returns To The FBI On 'Bones' This Season?
Fans may have been scratching their heads about Fox's decision to craft a Bones-Sleepy Hollow crossover, but the shows' writers are going all the way with it. Fox has released a plot synopsis for the Bones episode and the Sleepy Hollow episode, which will both air on Thursday, Oct. 29.
The Bones episode, titled The Resurrection in the Remains, kicks things off with Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) and Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) traveling from Sleepy Hollow to the Jeffersonian. They are hoping to "claim a headless body already under investigation by Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and her team. The new foursome must figure out how to work together to discover who the 200-year-old headless corpse is, and how it is linked to a contemporary murder victim."
Is 'Bones' Star David Boreanaz Ready To Move On From The Show?
The episode will also feature Brennan and Booth (David Boreanaz) crafting some Halloween pranks on each other.
A "mysterious death" takes place at the FBI, leading into the Sleepy Hollow episode, titled Dead Men Tell No Tales. Crane and Abbie believe that "supernatural forces" caused the death.
"As Pandora (Shannyn Sossamon) unleashes a force to awaken the dangerous Red Coat General Howe (guest star Nicholas Guest), both teams must find a way to save the town from the British Army of the Undead," the synopsis reads. "Can the power of Booth and Brennan combined with Abbie and Crane be enough to stop Pandora's evil forces?"
While the supernatural elements seem like a departure from the realism of Bones, it will be interesting to see if everything turns out to be a dream or hallucination or if everything depicted is real.
Bones airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
