Barcelona will to continue its dominance as of late when it takes on Espanyol in La Liga competition. Fortunately for the powerhouse football squad, it has no serious injuries or suspensions to deal with as they head into their Sunday matchup.
Defender Adriano (thigh) and midfielders Cesc Fabregas (hamstring) and Alex Song (knee) have all returned to fitness and should be fully ready to go for the Camp Nou showdown.
Also, Isaac Cuenca has fully recovered from a severe knee injury, and could take the field for the very first time this season. Eric Abidal should also be readily available to return after receiving a liver transplant.
Barcelona is currently on a hot streak, having won 10 out of its last 11 games in all football competitions. To top it off, the team is on a 16-match undefeated run at Camp Nou with 13 victories along with three draws.
Espanyol goalkeeper Christian Alvarez, who is recovering from a hamstring injury, will certainly have his fitness level tested against a tough Barcelona squad. The team's defender Raul Rodriguez is currently questionable for the game due to a stomach bug. Rodriguez had missed practice during the week because of the ailment.
Impressively enough, Espanyol has yet to lose since Javier Aguirre took over as coach in November. The club has won one and drew four under his leadership.
