The Young and the Restless star Daniel Goddard has been recovering since injuring himself on set back in September while shooting a combat scene.

On Sept. 18 the actor sustained the injury and appeared to be in plenty of pan. He underwent intense elbow surgery and has been in a cast and on bed rest, but his healing process is going well since a week after his surgery he returned to the CBS set for the soap.

Over the weekend he even gave an update on his cast situation.

Goddard is currently in a brace as of Wednesday.

He shared a photo of himself wearing the brace, which he will wear for the next "6 weeks."

His cast had been surrounding his entire arm basically, but this brace gives him more room to breathe, which means his healing must be going in the right direction and fairly quickly too.

"Rehab is about to begin," Goddard noted.

Goddard will probably be doing a variety of exercises to build up his muscle again since having his arm in a cast probably decreased his muscle definition. Plus, he needs to get his range of motion back.

It sounds like he as well as his character Cane Ashby on The Young and the Restless will be as good as new very soon.

The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
