Grimm is off and running.

'Thor Ragnarok' Cast: The Hulk To Have 'Prominent' Role? Mark Ruffalo 'Thor 3' Rumors

The first sneak peek for the season 5 premiere picks up just moments after the devastating finale, and Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) barely has time to catch his breath before diving back into battle (see video below).

Despite everything he saw during "Cry Havoc," Nick is still at a loss - Juliet's body is gone, three of his neighbors are dead, Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni) has disappeared, and Chavez's (Elizabeth Rodriguez) motives are still unclear. The cop calls in Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Sgt. Wu (Reggie Lee) for help, but even with all hands on deck, "The Grimm Identity" just keeps stacking up the mysteries.

"In the wake of his mother's beheading and Juliette's death, things have never been more chaotic for Nick," NBC teased, echoing the exact feeling of the premiere's first clip. "Having lost so much, Nick must dig deep and decide what type of person he wants to be, while also coming to grips with fathering a child with his once sworn enemy, Adalind (Claire Coffee). His search for the truth leads him to FBI Agent Chavez and puts him at odds with those close to him."
