Supernatural's Sam and Dean have not forgotten about their half-brother Adam.

It may seem like it at times, but John Winchester's other son was not magically wiped out of existence when he became Michael's unwilling vessel. In fact, the boys will broach the subject of Adam (Jake Abel) and the cage early in season 11.
In the episode that we are currently filming now, the subject of Adam gets brought up," Jensen Ackles (Dean) teased at Creation Entertainment's Salute to Supernatural in Toronto.

For those who have forgotten, Adam first entered the story back in season 4's "Jump the Shark." At that time, the human version of Adam was already dead. As season 5 came to a close, however, the angels resurrected the teen in order trick Dean into becoming Michael's vessel. After Team Free Will thwarted that plan, Adam became the archangel's meat suit instead. Ultimately, the Adam/Michael combo tumbled into the cage with Sam (Jared Padalecki)/Lucifer in "Swan Song," and that is where Adam has stayed ever since.
According to Ackles' teaser, viewers should expect to hear rumblings about Adam in episode 9 of season 11. This comes as little surprise, particularly since the release of the Darkness has already prompted a mention of Lucifer, Michael, and the Cage.
What you shouldn't expect, however, is to ever see a fully functioning human version of the forgotten Winchester. As much as the series would like to work with Abel once more, Padalecki doesn't believe another resurrection is in the cards. Plus, the poor kids soul has been a Michael/Lucifer chew toy for the last five year.
"When we introduced a third brother, they joked that it was 'jumping the shark,' that it was ruining the show," Padalecki explained in February, referencing the Happy Days incident that gave the episode its name. "They were like, 'Listen, this could ruin the show, we don't know. We're just going to introduce it and see what happens'... [Now] I think they are concerned that if we brought him back it would really...be kind of poking the bear. So, as much as we like Jake [Abel], it's probably best that Adam stay in hell."
