How Does Belle Get 'Really Strong This Year' On 'Once Upon a Time'?

ABC has released the plot synopsis for episode 4 of Once Upon a Time's fifth season, titled The Broken Kingdom. This episode, which airs Sunday, will feature a flashback to the Camelot of yesteryear, in addition to some compelling new developments with Emma (Jennifer Morrison).

The episode 5.04 synopsis is as follows:

Hook May Fall For Dark Emma's Traps On 'Once Upon a Time'

"After receiving a cryptic warning from Lancelot [Sinqua Walls] about Arthur's intentions, Mary Margaret [Ginnifer Goodwin] realizes Arthur may be the heroes' biggest threat, but when she is unable to convince David [Josh Dallas] of the danger, she takes matters into her own hands.

"Meanwhile, Hook's [Colin O'Donoghue] unwavering love for Emma provides a glimmer of hope in her struggle against the unrelenting voice of Rumplestiltskin [Robert Carlyle]. In a Camelot flashback, Guinevere [Joana Metrass] senses that Arthur is losing his way, consumed by his obsession with making Excalibur whole, so she sets out with Lancelot on her own quest into the heart of darkness. In Storybrooke, Dark Emma unleashes a secret weapon in the next phase of her plan to find the brave soul she needs to draw Excalibur from the stone."

The promo for this episode features Emma being tormented by Rumple's voice. Some of his taunts include "You're the Savior" and "save yourself, before it's too late!" The clip also shows clear conflict between Arthur and Mary Margaret and David. They both want possession of the dagger, with Arthur threatening them to hand it over.
