'Dancing With the Stars' Season 21 Cast: Hayes Grier Admits He 'Could Have Done Better' In Switch Up Week [VIDEO]
Hayes Grier danced with a new partner on ABC's Dancing With the Stars this week and while he had an "amazing time," he admits he could have done better.
Which PenaVega Will Come Out On Top On 'Dancing With the Stars', Alexa Or Carlos?
Grier danced with Allison Holker for Switch Up Week on Monday, which was a change from his regular partner, Emma Slater. Grier and Holker scored a 30 out of 40 from the judges.
The Vine star took to his weekly Access Hollywood blog after the show to talk about his week with Holker and how if differed from his experience with Slater.
Could Carlos PenaVega & Paula Deen Be Eliminated On 'Dancing With the Stars' This Week?
"Allison said she had seen the energetic and fun sides of me, but wanted to bring out the mature and sophisticated side," Grier wrote. "So, I was Prince Charming for the night and we danced the Viennese waltz. I really enjoyed the dance and I think we did an amazing job, but at the same time I feel like I could have done better, so knowing that didn't leave me with the best feeling. But, it has inspired me to keep going and get back to working hard, so I come back even stronger next week. I had amazing time learning from Allison this week."
Grier did not say whether he preferred one partner over the other, though it seems he is ready to get back together with Slater.
"Allison's and Emma's teaching styles are very different so I'll be able to take that experience back to the studio with Emma this week, and I feel like what she taught me is going to help me for the rest of the season," he wrote.
There are nine celebs left on Dancing With the Stars this season and while Grier has not faced the bottom yet, he hasn't exactly been a frontrunner either. As the competition whittles down, Grier will have to perform more consistently strong (as he was in Week 4) if he wants a chance at nabbing the Mirrorball trophy.
Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
