The Blind Auditions are over, and season 9 of the NBC series moved into the third night of Battle Rounds on Monday. With six rounds to an episode, this phase of the competition pit singers from each team against each other. Winners advance to "The Knockouts" while losers are either stolen by another coach or eliminated completely. On Monday, Coach Adam Levine, Coach Gwen Stefani, and Coach Blake Shelton used up the last of their steals.
Team Blake kicked off the evening with its only performance of the night. Blind Joe took on Blaine Mitchell to the tune of Old Time Rock and Roll, and Coach Blake was forced to make a hard choice when he opted to keep Blind Joe. It was Blaine Mitchell's lucky night, however, as Coach Adam took him under his wing.

In order to do so, the Maroon Five frontman also had to cut loose two of his own. Levine saved Viktor Kiraly and the duo of Andi & Alex while dropping Cassandra Robertson and Chance Peña. Robertson was sent packing, but Peña found a home with Team Blake.
Team Gwen, meanwhile bid farewell to Chase Kerby and Lyndsey Elm while keeping Korin Bukowski and Braiden Sunshine. When Team Pharrell Williams dropped Riley Biederer in favor of Evan McKell, Gwen stepped in and saved Biederer.
