Rory's first love will rejoin the cast of Gilmore Girls for its highly anticipated Netflix revival.

'Gilmore Girls' Netflix: Prepare For Four Seasons; New Details On Revival

Doose's Market apron or no, Dean Forester (Jared Padalecki) is expected to head back to Stars Hollow as Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) make their way back onto the scene. Last seen in season 5's "To Live and Let Diorama," Dean dropped off the scene when Padalecki took on the roll of Sam Winchester in The CW's Supernatural.

Nothing is set is stone for the 4-episode revival, but Padalecki believes there is an extremely high probability that Dean will have some roll to play as the 90-minute mini movies unfold. Speaking at Creation Entertainment's Salute to Supernatural in Chicago, the actor recounted a conversation he'd had with series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino at Gilmore Girls' ATX Television Festival reunion last June.

'Supernatural' Season 11 Episode 4: 'Confessions' Coming In 'Baby;, What Secrets Will Sam & Dean Reveal?

"At the time of the reunion it was not in the works yet," Padalecki explained. "Obviously something in the last four months has changed because now they've announced it. [Sherman-Palladino] told me flat out that anything she does with Gilmore Girls again will have me in it."

Unfortunately, Gilmore Girls will have to contend with Padalecki's Supernatural schedule. Just as Jensen Ackles (Supernatural's Dean Winchester) had to miss out on two returns to Days of Our Lives, the Texas native may find himself too wrapped up with vampires and demons to return to the idyllic world of Stars Hollow.

"Hopefully some of it films when I have time off," Padalecki said.

We hope so, too.

Catch Padalecki and Ackles ever Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET on The CW's Supernatural.
