They have been going full steam ahead with plans to have Maya's (Karla Mosley) sister Nicole (Reign Edwards) serve as a surrogate for them, but now she and Rick (Jacob Young) could be talked out of the plan when concerns are expressed by all of their loved ones on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Julius Convinces Zende To Give Nicole An Ultimatum

Maya's father, Julius (Obba Babatunde) has been exceedingly vocal about his opposition to the plan, and now, alongside his wife, Vivienne, (Anna Marie Horsford) and Rick's parents, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Eric (John McCook), he will confront the newlyweds and try to convince them that having Nicole act as a surrogate is a terrible idea.

Initially citing her relationship with Zende (Rome Flynn), Julius will try to convince Maya to think about her sister having her own happy ending, but when Maya retorts that Zende is supportive, Julius will explode.

Nicole Begins Reconsidering The Surrogacy

"No young man is going to stick around while his girlfriend is blowing up with another man's child," he says in a preview clip for the Monday, Nov. 2 episode.

However, he will quickly calm down when he realizes it isn't the way to handle things, giving Brooke a chance to express her concerns that Nicole has never carried a child before.

"Nicole may very well grow attached and start thinking of that baby as hers," she says in the clip.

Finally, when Maya and Rick appear to be reconsidering the plan, Julius will speak up again-and gently suggest they tell Nicole they want to go a different route.

"If you and Rick are really serious about this, tell her you'll find someone else to be the surrogate," he says in the clip.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
