'NCIS: LA' Season 7 Spoilers: Return To Russia Is 'All You Hoped For', Will Callen Meet His Father? [VIDEO]
NCIS: Los Angeles just can't stay away from the motherland, or at least Callen can't.
G Callen (Chris O'Donnell) saw his life's quest come to a crashing halt last time he was in Russia, but the orphan agent isn't know for giving up easily. Instead of mourning his father's alleged demise, Callen spent the season 7 premiere searching for Arkady (Vyto Ruginis), his only viable lead. As midseason approaches, Callen's tactics will pay off.
"In the season opener, Callen's secretive, rogue investigation into 'something,' showrunner Shane Brennan cryptically teases, 'creates a lot of tension' between him, Sam (LL Cool J) and Hetty (Linda Hunt) and will have a 'fairly major' payoff midway through the season, in a double-episode event," TV Line explained.

Brennan, meanwhile, also told The Hollywood Reporter that "there may be a reunion that will happen there." It is currently unknown whether or not this reunion will involve Callen Sr., Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly), Akardy, or none of the above.
Executive producer John Peter Kousakis is currently working on episode 10 (air order unconfirmed), and it appears this episode may play a role in the next stage of Callen's story.
"#jpkteaser Russia is closer than you think. It's all you hoped for. #StayTuned #NCISLA," Kousakis tweeted on Sunday.
