Katherine Webb 2013 Super Bowl Gig, Miss Alabama 2012 To Cover For 'Inside Edition'
Katherine Webb will be covering this year's Super Bowl as a news reporter for "Inside Edition."
The Miss Alabama 2012 winner shared the news on Twitter.
"So excited to be chosen to cover the Super Bowl XLVII for@InsideEdition in New Orleans!" Webb tweeted on Jan. 15.
The 23-year-old's Super Bowl gig is another major score she can add to her resume. The beauty pageant winner has been inundated with several high-profile gigs ever since ESPN announcer Brent Musburger gushed over how "beautiful" and "lovely" she is during the BCS National Championship game last week.
Three days after she was thrust into the spotlight, Webb revealed she had been booked for a photo shoot for Sports Illustrated magazine.
"It's official...shooting with Sports Illustrated!" Webb reportedly tweeted then deleted. Sports Illustrated later confirmed that Webb will appear in this year's annual Swimsuit Issue. The bestseller will arrive on newsstands Feb. 11.
Prior to the big reveal, another magazine hinted that Webb might grace the pages of one of their upcoming issues.
"Everyone should keep their eyes open for future issues of Maxim," Patrick Carone, executive editor at Maxim Magazine told Fox News.
Enstars reported that Webb became an overnight sensation after ESPN announcer Brent Musburger pointed out her pageant-worthy good looks during the BCS National Championship Game on Jan. 7.
"You see that lovely lady there, that's AJ McCarron's girlfriend," Musburger announced. "Wow, I'm telling you. You quarterbacks, you get all the good looking women. Honest. What a beautiful woman....Whoa!"
Donald Trump also took notice of Webb and took to Twitter to sing her praises.
"Miss Alabama, Katherine Webb, has been a truly great representative of the Ms. USA Organization...We are proud of her!" he wrote on Twitter. "What a great couple... Katherine Webb and AJ McCarron. They are both winners!"
Trump added that he would like to offer her a hosting gig at the next Miss USA Pageant.
"We are going to ask Katherine Webb to be a judge at the Miss USA pageant coming up in Las Vegas," he tweeted.
Webb confirmed she has been invited by Trump to judge the next Miss USA pageant in an interview with Matt Lauer on 'TODAY." She did not reveal if she accepted or declined the offer but said she wanted to focus on the "real winners" of Monday's BCS Championship game- her boyfriend and his team. Webb is dating Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron and they have been together for a month.
