'Faking It' Season 3 Spoilers: Karma To 'Resent' Amy For Leaving? Rita Volk Dishes On Karmy's 'Bumpy' Future [PHOTO]
It was the finale no one could predict coming, but Faking It fans don't need to worry because Amy (Rita Volk) will eventually make her way back to Texas-and Karma (Katie Stevens).
Karma & Amy Are Forced To Confront Their Feelings
However, in a new interview, Volk cautions that when Season 3 picks up again next year, it won't necessarily be an easy road for Hester High's favorite fake lesbian couples they navigate back from their separation.
"I think obviously there's going to be some resentment on Karma's side," Volk told Hollywood Life. "Probably, if I were Amy and putting myself in her position, I would probably have a resentment, too. I think eventually they can come back from this. It's probably going to be very bumpy. They're not just going to come back from the summer and be best friends again. I think that's what season three will finally explore."
However, she does admit that regardless of what Amy's leaving town means for the relationship in the future, it is presently the best thing for Amy to do because of her continued feelings for Karma-who doesn't return them.
"I think it's one of those things where you just put everything on hold. It's not the end of it. It doesn't mean they're not friends anymore," she says. "It doesn't mean that they're never going to speak again or go back to the way things were. But in this moment in time she's making this decision for herself to really-for the first time I think the whole show-to really make that decision for herself and for herself only."
"She's so adamant about it and kind of sick of everything," she continues. "We kind of see her just over it all in a way. I think it's for the best, and it's a healthy thing to do. She's putting herself first, and she's not really focusing on this relationship anymore. She's focusing on what she needs to do to be herself again."
Faking It returns in 2016.
