How will Castle's (Nathan Fillion) feelings towards his separation from Beckett (Stana Katic) change going forward on ABC's Castle?

What Is Rick Planning To Do For Kate In Honor Of Their Anniversary In An Upcoming 'Castle' Episode?

Castle and Beckett have been separated since the second episode of the season, a move Beckett orchestrated to distance herself from him as a way of protection while she works on the LokSat case.

But Castle did get a warning sign in the latest episode that Beckett still loves him, so his fears about their separation are being assuaged.

'Castle' Stars Nathan Fillion & Stana Katic Picked Up People's Choice Nominations, But Will They Win?

Castle co-showrunners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter spoke with TVLine recently to explain Castle's mindset heading into the final episodes of 2015.

"She wants him to remember her, so yes, she knows what she's doing," Winter said, with Hawley adding: "Part of [his frustration] is that he doesn't quite understand exactly what's going on with her."

And this will all lead up to the fall finale.

"His questions about what's really going on are what's ultimately driving us to the end of the fall finale (titled 'Mr. & Mrs. Castle' and airing Nov. 23)," Hawley said. "But I do think that even though she was talking about moving out and she got her stuff, what happened with The Nose and everything definitely relieved him a bit."

Will Castle and Beckett finally get back together by the end of the fall finale? It's still not known at this time, though TVLine suggests that the LokSat storyline may "resolve itself" by the end of the three-month hiatus.

Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
