Dancing with the Stars bid adieu to Alexa PenaVega as week 9's "Showstoppers Night" came to a close.

Monday night was marred by the hospitalization of Tamar Braxton, but as always, the show must go on. This was unfortunate news for PenaVega and Mark Ballas who, despite receiving two perfect scores, found themselves knocked out of the competition. Their poor scores in prior weeks came back to haunt them in the worst way possible.

PenaVega wasn't the only one to rake in the praise, however. Bindi Irwin earned a 30 for both her Viennese waltz and her theater-inspired team up dance with PenaVega, a move that trumped Nick Carter and Braxton's 27 as well as Alek Skarlatos and Carlos PenaVega's 24.

While Braxton managed to stay in the game, Monday was a trying day for the R&B singer. Following a hectic week, Braxton was hospitalized for pneumonia during the week 9 dress rehearsal. The judges awarded Braxton and Val Chmerkovskiy a 22 for their performance earlier in the day before the reality star made an appearance for the team-up round.
